Ms Mayra joined Cosmic Montessori Community in December of 2011. She is the Co-Directress  in the Harmony (Toddler) Classroom. Ms. Mayra was born in Mexico and raised in Aurora, Illinois. She attended West Aurora high school and graduated in 2006. Ms Mayra is currently working on completing her Assistant to infancy Montessori Certification from the American Montessori Society and a degree in Early Childhood Education Leadership-Child Development Specialization from Rasmussen College. Ms Mayra volunteered at Delnor community hospital and helped in their aquatic program for children with special needs. It was there that she fell in love with working with children. Mayra is an excellent addition to our community. The children love her, and learn to become independent in her classroom. She has a passion for teaching, and the children pick up on this right away. We are happy to have her with us here at Cosmic Montessori School!
